The Jackson Hole Higher Education Group
Based at the foot of the Teton range in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, The Jackson
Hole Higher Education Group, Inc. (JHHEG) advises leaders in higher education
around the world in the areas of strategic planning and finance, resource
allocation management, and academic quality improvement. Clients include
public and private colleges and universities, foundations, and government
agencies in the United States, Europe, and Asia. JHHEG provides a full range
of services including traditional long-term relationship consulting,
short-term targeted problem-solving, meeting facilitation, laptop
presentations on specific topics, and mathematical modeling of institutional
behavior.
For larger-scale projects and to cover areas outside JHHEG's
immediate area of expertise, JHHEG maintains strategic alliances with a
select group of other firms and individuals to provide comprehensive
resources for its clients.
JHHEG was founded in 1996 by Dr. William F. Massy, professor emeritus and
former vice president and chief financial officer of Stanford University.
While at Stanford, Dr. Massy pioneered the use of financial management and
planning tools that have become standards in higher education. He also
founded the Stanford Institute for Higher Education Research (SIHER) where
his research focused on institutional strategy, faculty roles and
responsibilities, financial management and resource allocation processes, and
models of university behavior.
In addition to his work at JHHEG, Dr. Massy currently directs the project on
educational quality and productivity for the National Center for
Postsecondary Improvement funded by the U.S. Department of Education.
